Mission

The Reprographics/Mailroom is committed to providing faculty and staff the resources necessary to support student success by managing the bulk of their copying, printing, and mailing.  

 

Reprographics Policies & Procedures

1. SELF-SERVICE COPIERS

GENERAL POLICIES

  • To Save Paper, Make Your Copies Double-Sided As Often As Possible.
  • The Self-Service Copiers Are Provided To Reproduce Materials To Serve the Students Of West Los Angeles College; No Other Use Of The Copiers Is Authorized.
  • Only the Faculty, Staff And Student Assistants At WLAC Are Authorized To Use The Self-Service Copiers.
  • Keep Area Clear And Safeguard The Department Copier Codes:
    •   Ask Students And Guests To Remain By The Exit.
  • Copyright And LACCD Fair Use Policies Should Be Observed.
    • Copies Of The Fair Use Policy Are Available In Reprographics.
  • Please Leave Large Copy Requests With Repro Staff (See “Over-The-Counter”)

COPY LIMITS FOR THE SELF-COPIERS

  • PLEASE Use Only 1 Copier At A Time
  • 5 Minute Limit On Copier Use When Others Are Waiting.
    • 20 Minute Maximum Copier Use Per Visit. 
  • Maximum Copy Limit: 80 Copies Per Original Document.
    • For Classes Of Over 60 Students, Please Contact Repro Staff.
  • Maximum Pages Per Original: 10
  • If The Copier Malfunctions, Ask Repro Staff For Assistance.
    • Weekend – Check With PAWS Store Staff for Assistance.
  • If You Need Transparencies, Ask Repro Staff For Assistance.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Please!  No Food or Beverages (except water) in Reprographics.
  • Trash Cans Are Available And Located Outside By The Entrance/Exit Door.
  • The “Blue” Recycle Containers Are Provided For “Clean” Paper Materials Only.

 

2.  OVER-THE-COUNTER SERVICES

GENERAL POLICIES

  • Submit Copier Ready Documents Only; No Paste-Ups, Torn Originals, Magazines, Books, Etc.
  • Reprographics Staff Will Observce the LACCD Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines for Copyrighted Material.
  • Reprographics Staff Will Contact Faculty And Staff If There Are Questions About A Copy Request.

SERVICES

  • Routine Requests
    •  Most Copy Requests Will Be Processed For Pick-Up In 1-2 Days
  • “Same-Day Pick-Up”
    • Pick-Up Copies in 2-3 Hours
    • Maximum of 80 Copies and 10 Pages per Original Document
  • “Instant Service” Is Unavailable Except When Any Of The Following Conditions Exists:
    • Only 1 Self-Service Copier Is In Functioning Order
    • 3 Or More Instructors Are Waiting To Use The Copiers
    • Requests For Copies From Instructors Already In Class
      • PLEASE NOTE:  Instant Service Will Not Be Available When Staff Are Completing Other Work Assignments.
  • No Over-The-Counter Service On Weekends.

 

3.  ELECTRONIC COPY REQUESTS

  • The Turnaround Time For Electronic Requests:
    • 1 Day For Routine Copy Requests
    • 2-3 Hours For “Same Day” Pick-Up
    • Copy Requests Received After 6:00 pm Will Be Processed For Pick-Up On The Next Business Day.
  • E-Copy Request Processing Available Monday 7:00 a.m. to Friday 4:00 p.m.
