SPRING 2019 PRODUCTION AT WEST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE

West One Acts

This year’s festival features four student-written one act plays. Each will be performed twice over a four day period.

On Monday, April 15 and Wednesday April 17, performing in West’s Black Box Theatre (HLRC 115) at 7:30pm:

 

  • UNIT A4 EAST by Corrie Presser

Drama. College sophomore Jackie has been checked into the Psyche ward at UCLA hospital for a 72-hour observation. She’s determined to end her life. Can the doctors and nurses change her mind?

 

  • PIZZA MAN by David Diaz

Comedy. It’s Thanksgiving. The turkey is ruined. But the pizza delivery man might just be a superhero, so maybe the day can be saved.

 

On Tuesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 18, performing in West’s Black Box Theatre (HLRC 115) at 7:30pm:

 

  • CAUGHT UP by Chris Nelson

Drama. Detective Carter struggles to uncover what happened when a cop shoots an unarmed man.

 

  • WHEREVER YOU ARE by Amber Brown

Romantic Comedy. Kenny and Selena just aren’t sure their marriage can survive the first big vacation they take together.
