Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC)

Certificate of Achievement Requirements

West’s Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) Certificate of Achievement enables student to complete a transcripted Certificate of Achievement that meets the lower-division general education requirements for transfer to either the California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC) systems without the need to take additional lower-division general education courses after transfer.  The IGETC Certificate of Achievement allows students to complete the first two years of an undergraduate degree and is a good option for students who do not want to declare a major prior to transferring to a university.
