Pathways Academy to California State University Dominguez Hills


Pathways Academy is a partnership between West Los Angeles College and CSU Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) that will help to facilitate the transfer process for students. This program is designed for West students majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Earth Science, Geology, Mathematics, or Physics who plan to complete a 4-year degree program at CSUDH. To apply, West students need to have at least a 2.75 G.P.A. and taken (or be eligible to take) English 101 and Math 125 (or its equivalent).

Pathways program participants will enjoy the following benefits:

  • West students selected to participate in Pathways and who successfully complete all program and transfer requirements will receive personalized admission support to CSUDH.

  • While at West, students will have access to advisers, mentors and tutors. Students will also be part of a community of learners, which offers them the benefit of a strong peer support network.West students will be invited to participate in bridge activities at CSUDH to prepare them for a smooth and easy transfer process.

  • While at CSUDH, students will have opportunities to advance their careers through internships, intensive writing courses in the discipline, possibilities for undergraduate research, global learning, and more.  

Applying to Pathways

If you are interested in applying to Pathways, you should:

  • Meet with the Program Coordinator at West to
  • Fill out and print the application and return it to Mailbox 409B.
  • Call the Pathways office at 310-287-7202.
  • Learn more about the program
