What's Your Creativity Type? And Other Strategies for Becoming More Creative

The session will continue for PL Hub Members. All welcome to stay longer.

What’s your creativity type and how does it affect your teaching, your learning, and even your professionalrelationships? This hands-on session will explore the benefits of knowing your “type” while teaching methods for becoming a more creative problem solver in every aspect of your life. All welcome! Led by Dr. Katherine Boutry, Director of the Creativity Studies Lab at West, and Creativity experts Katy Foucar-Szocki (business), Regina King (health) and Tom Gannon (early childhood education).

Held the week before school starts each Fall and culminating in Professional Learning Day (formerly FLEX Day), Professional Learning Week is an opportunity for faculty to reconnect and prepare for the new school year. Sessions are scheduled according to faculty interest as well as in response to institutional priorities. Faculty are eligible for Flex Credit for workshop attendance.

West Connect is intended primarily for new and tenure-track faculty, but all faculty are welcome. Faculty are eligible for Flex Credit for workshop attendance.

West's Tech Fairs include workshops on using technology in the classroom and encourage faculty-to-faculty exchanges in using technology in courses and student services.

Tech Fair workshops are currently offered during Fall and Spring semesters. All workshops are open to faculty and staff who are able to attend. Faculty can file for Flex Credit for attending workshops.
