High School Support Programs

West Los Angeles College offers additional, specially funded programs to high school students to meet your needs. Explore the links below for more information.


  • CAHSEE TO COLLEGE provides free instruction for students that have completed high school; but have not completed the English and/or Math components for the Californa High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).

  • Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)  is a federally funded TRIO program that promotes postsecondary education upon high school completion. Program Services include assistance with College Application, Completion of FAFSA for Fall 2009, Personal Statement Assistance, Academic Counseling, Job Opportunities and Career Explorations, Saturday and On Campus Workshops

 

  • TALENT SEARCH is an early intervention program designed to reach students from Marina Del Rey Middle School, Webster Middle School, Dorsey High School, and Fairfax High School who want to go to college and need to understand their choices.

  • UPWARD BOUND provides academic support services such as after-school tutoring, SAT preparation, Saturday Enrichment Sessions, and 6-week summer programs for LA High, Hamilton High, Crenshaw High, and Dorsey High students.
