FINANCIAL AID ACADEMIC DISQUALIFICATION PORTAL

You should have received a letter from the WLAC Financial Aid or the LACCD Financial Aid Department indicating that you have been “Academically Disqualified”

from receiving Financial Aid. You will be able to Appeal this disqualification by taking the following steps:

1. View the Academic Progress Video and answer the question. (click here)

2. View the Instructional Power point (click here)

3. Go to the WLAC Student Information System portal select grades  (click here) and (PRINT) a copy of your transcripts

4. Download the Student Educational Prep-Plan, Print and complete form (click here)

5. Download the “Financial Aid Petition for Reinstatement Appeal Form”, Print and complete form (Click here)

6. Complete one of the Admission Department Petitions if you need to: (Admission forms link )  PRINT and take to Admissions.
   
   • The Academic Renewal and Course Repetition /Lineout form
   • The General Petition
   • The  Grade Review Petition
   • Third Course Repeat /Recency Petition

7. Complete the “Financial Aid Student Preparation and Verification Checklist Below and click SUBMIT. You will be emailed an appointment to see a Counselor.
   At your appointment time you must bring :

• Copy of your grades or transcripts ( Item 3 Above )
• Your Prep-Student Educational Plan ( Item 4 above )
• Your Financial Aid Petition for Reinstatement ( Item 5 Above )
