New West Students - How to Enroll in Weekend College Courses |
- Application: Complete the online application for West (link will open in a new window) or in person at the Admissions Office, Building A-13.
- Assessment: Take the math, English or ESL assessment tests if you are new to West or have not previously attended another community college or university. If you have attended another college, meet with a counselor to have your assessment results evaluated. Assessment appointments can be made online.
- Orientation: Complete the online orientation or complete it right after you take the assessment tests in person.
- Counseling: Schedule an appointment online or call (310) 287-4257. Weekend College has an online advisor, but it's also important to see a counselor to develop your educational plan.
- Registration: Register online (link will open in a new window) by following the steps below, or in person at A-13, or on the phone.
- Follow-up: Follow-up with a counselor to update your student educational plan to make sure you're on track to graduate and transfer.

Continuing West Students - How to Register Online |

If you're a continuing West student, you may enroll online in Weekend College's courses in the same way you enroll in West's general courses.
Items needed:
- West Student ID Number or Social Security Number
- 4-digit Pin (default - birthday month day: mm/dd)
- Section Numbers of the classes you wish to add.

Click Student Information System

Type in your 9-digit student ID number (starts with 88-) and 4-digit pin
(default: birthday month and day mm/dd) and click Submit

Click Registration.

- College: select West Los Angeles College
- Semester: select semester in which you wish to enroll
- Action: Add
- Section Number: type in section number of the course you wish to enroll in
- Click Submit
- Repeat Step 3 to register in more than 1 course.
