Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support Program (CAFYES/NextUp)

The NextUp Program, formerly Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support (CAFYES), developed comprehensive and coordinated sets of services and programs that involve internal and external community partnerships, identifying and addressing barriers--including health and well-being--to the academic success of current and former foster youth. The NextUp Program is administered by the EOPS Program.

Eligibility

  • EOPS student
  • 25 years old or younger
  • Former or current Foster Youth whose dependency was established on or after the youth's 13th birthday (must verify)
  • Enrolled in/working towards 9 units (DSPS = 6 or less)
