Foster Care Awareness Month

May 20 - 23 | 10:00 - 1:00 our Fine Arts Gallery will host a special exhibit "Fostering Photovoice."
The group exhibit reflects the lives and experiences of youth impacted by foster care. The project was conceived by a Photovoice Research Collective that included the six artists whose work will be shown—all former foster youth between the ages of 18-25 residing in Los Angeles County, and one of whom is a current West LA College student. Also involved were several UCLA undergraduate and graduate students with lived experience in foster care or expertise in using an arts-based empowerment method called Photovoice for research and social policy.

If you are currently or were a Foster Care Youth, you may qualify for  support services, free stuff and find students with similar life experiences through WLAC's EOPS and  Guardian Scholars

Updates for EOPS Students
