Investing in Student Success through Scholarships

While community colleges offer the best value in higher education, many students still face financial barriers, from tuition and books to housing and transportation.  A significant number of our students balance their studies with full-time or part-time jobs, while others return to college to retrain, develop new skills, or advance their careers in an evolving job market.

Scholarships open doors, making higher education possible for those who might otherwise be unable to afford it.  You can support an existing scholarship or create one in your name or in honor/memory of a loved one, leaving a lasting impact on students' futures.

The West Los Angeles College Foundation works closely with the Financial Aid Office and the Los Angeles Community College District to connect students with scholarship opportunities.  Your generosity can change lives—help us empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and professionals.

Since 1974 the West Los Angeles College Foundation has raised funds for scholarship and award programs to recognize superior leadership, academic achievement and community service among West’s students and assist them with unmet financial needs. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your donation is tax-deductible.

Your contribution, no matter the amount, together with gifts from other donors just like you, can make it possible for a student to stay in school, lessen loan burdens, and reach their academic and professional goals.
