WHEN WILL I COMPLETE MY GENERAL ED COURSES?
Your Puente Counselor is here to guide you and make sure you are enrolling in courses that meet your general education requirements and major preparation. Your Counselor will sit with you one-on-one for a 60-minute appointment to design a comprehensive student educational plan.
WILL I GET AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE WHEN I TRANSFER?
Absolutely. In fact, we may be able to award you multiple Associate degrees, including the new Associate Degree for Transfer (AD-T). This information will be mapped out on your student educational plan when you meet with the Puente Counselor.
WHAT IF WEST LA COLLEGE DOES NOT HAVE THE MAJOR I’M INTERESTED IN?
Every community college is unique, but we all serve the same purpose: Help you succeed. If West LA does not have your exact major listed, that is okay, and we can still help you. Together we will find the university that does offer your major and complete all the required courses at West LA College.
